  The combination of chlorhexidine digluconate (CHX), a plaque-fighting agent, and cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) has a long-lasting ability to attack existing plaque and prevent the formation of bacteria and toxins that cause it. GUM Paroex 0.12% CHX toothpaste also contains vitamin E, an effective antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals attacking gum tissue, aloe vera, which nourishes and soothes irritated oral tissues, and provitamin B5, which revitalizes and tones the gums. Fluoride (950ppm) helps ensure strong, healthy tooth enamel.
